Dear partners!
We are pleased to inform you about a new brand in the "Autoleader" portfolio - MOTUL.
Motul (pronounced Motul) is a French company for the production and sale of lubricants for vehicle engines and industry.
The company dates back to 1853, when the company "Swan&Finch Oil Co." was registered in New York.
The company's main activity is the supply of fish oil-based lubricants for ships and railway transport with steam engines.
Seventy years later, the company entered the national market. After mastering the American market, the company entered the international level. Demand for Swan & Finch lubricants around the world began to grow after 1920.
In 1932, the company began to supply the product to France. Ernst Zogg invited the company to the French market, having timely assessed the scale of sales and the need for the lubricant market. The company "Supra Penn" was created to cooperate with Zogg.
It ensured the import and sale of Motul lubricants in their original packaging, thereby guaranteeing "high quality oil from Pennsylvania".
In 1953, Swan & Finch celebrated its centenary. This date was marked by the release of Motul Century, the first all-season oil. At that time, there were already 15,000 points of sale throughout France, and the company actively participated in motor racing, maintaining its reputation. Swan & Finch Oil Co. also took part in a Citroen 2CV expedition of 15,000 kilometers.
